‘Something’s got to give’: Feeding babies in an age of austerity

To coincide with the launch of Milk Report the Film at Scarborough Film Festival, Corridor8 have published an article by Prof Susan Newman, discussing the themes of care, labour and economics explored within the film by artists Conway and Young.

Milk Report the Film will premiere at Woodend Gallery, Scarborough on Sunday 23rd March, before touring to film festivals and galleries across the UK and internationally.

Susan Newman is a Professor of Economics at the Open University and co-curator of the online exhibition This is Essential Work. Jen Conway and Jessy Young are artists and designers who take a collaborative approach to commissioned and self-initiated projects and are motivated by art and design’s critical, social, civic and political potential.
